Utah Desert Microwedding
Engaged on Mardi Gras, Married on Halloween. Wendy & Melissa knew whatever they were going to do for their wedding day had to be FUN.
We started off the morning at 8am. Crisp air, clear skies.
The soon-to-be-weds and some of their more dearing friends and fam piles into side by side ATV’s with hoots and hollars of excitment.
I mean, how dope is it to start your wedding day off ripping around dunes, exploring rocky outcroppings and getting your heart beat racing?
After a morning of fun everyone headed back to Dixie Oasis to get ready and made their way to Snow Canyon for a short hike to a gorgeous spot so the gals could say I do
Their ceremony truly was one of a kind.
From the roadrunner who ran past their ceremony to Wendy’s delighted screams (she works with birds at the NOLA zoo so this was MONUMENTAL) to Melissa’s rapped vows…there wasnt a dry eye in the house
Post Ceremony we ran around the petrified dunes of the park and explored a slot canyon for some intimate just-us-two pics
Post ceremony they invited me (Kayla!) to their family style dinner prepared by Melissa’s mom including a two tiered cake that she made—-I mean, whos mom makes a HUGE cake for their childs wedding?
It as so wonderful getting to hear stories of how they met, how they fell and love and the stoke for their life together, best friends, soulmates
